ACEC Ohio/AIA/OFCC Partnering Conference Recap

ACEC Ohio, AIA Ohio, and Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) held our first in-person Partnering Conference on April 4 in Columbus. The event brought together professionals from across the industry for a day filled with networking and collaboration.

We had over 150 attendees join us for the half-day event. OFCC Executive Director Joy DeMarco delivered the opening remarks. DeMarco started her position in March following the retirement of Cheryl Lyman.

Attendees had the opportunity to delve into topics such as project development management utilizing target value budgeting, Ohio building code updates, and a Rhodes Tower case study on schedule management providing valuable lessons on successfully coordinating multiple concurrent construction projects.

ACEC Ohio has partnered with AIA Ohio and OFCC for six years with our joint liaison committee. We continue to meet quarterly to build a cooperative working relationship between the industry and the Commission.
