ACEC Ohio 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards Recap
ACEC Ohio proudly celebrated the very best in engineering at our 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards on Thursday, February 19 at The Exchange at Bridge Park in Dublin. The annual event brought together industry leaders, member firms, and partners to recognize projects that demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, and meaningful impact across Ohio.
This year’s celebration featured an inspiring keynote from Boris Martin, CEO of Engineers Without Borders, who shared powerful insights on the future of the engineering workforce, leadership, and the growing global influence of humanitarian engineering. We were also excited to have the event emceed by Kurt Ludlow from ABC 6/FOX 28.

Each year we continue to invest in the future by awarding $2,500 scholarships to promising students!
This year, we received 37 scholarship applications!
We are thrilled to announce the 2026 ACEC Ohio Scholarship Recipients:
Northeast – Shantonu Banerjee, University of Akron studying mechanical engineering
Northwest – Kael Margraf, Ohio Northern University studying civil engineering
Central – Ethan Stofel, The Ohio State University studying civil engineering
Southwest – Dylan Bambauer, University of Dayton, studying engineering management and mechanical engineering
In addition to our regional scholarships, we’re proud to continue our partnership with Columbus State, Stark State, and to welcome Sinclair Community College as a new partner this year, offering a $1,500 scholarship through the Construction Inspection Workforce Program.
We are thrilled to announce the 2025 ACEC Ohio CIWP Scholarship Recipient:
CIWP – Kyle Ziringer, Columbus State Community College, associate’s degree in construction management
New this year, ACEC Ohio awarded the Young Professional of the Year Award, created to recognize an outstanding young engineer who has made meaningful contributions to both the engineering profession and ACEC Ohio. This award celebrates leadership, professional excellence, and a commitment to service through involvement in ACEC Ohio, volunteerism, and advocacy for our industry. ACEC Ohio is proud to share that Marcus Stoltzfus of Colliers Engineering was awarded our very first Young Professional of the Year Award.
As a graduate of ACEC Ohio’s Rising Leaders program, Marcus exemplifies the leadership development and industry engagement this award was created to recognize.
