Strengthening Our Voice Through Chapter Fly-Ins and PAC Engagement

ACEC Ohio kicked off 2026 with strong, coordinated advocacy efforts focused on building relationships with state lawmakers and advancing policies critical to the business of engineering.

This January, ACEC Ohio held its third annual series of Regional Legislative Fly‑Ins, providing members with the opportunity to meet with legislators directly in their home districts where discussions are more personal, less rushed, and often more impactful.

A total of 101 ACEC Ohio members participated, connecting with 13 legislators across the state. These conversations helped strengthen relationships and elevate awareness of the engineering community’s priorities, particularly around infrastructure investment and upcoming funding opportunities.

On February 4, ACEC Ohio held its 9th annual PAC Kick‑Off Event at The Understory, bringing together more than 60 members for an evening of networking and advocacy. Special guest State Senator Rob McColley, Senate President and Lt. Governor candidate, spent over 90 minutes meeting with attendees and discussing the engineering issues shaping Ohio’s future.

The event successfully raised a total of $21,930 for the ACEC Ohio PAC and the ACEC National PAC, a new milestone in ensuring the engineering industry continues to have a strong voice.

Legislators shared that while final funding totals are not yet known, the application process for community projects is currently open, with legislators collecting proposals through March 12.
