Building Value and Influence: ACEC Ohio’s Strategic Plan in Action

ACEC Ohio’s new Strategic Plan is now in motion, and two major initiatives are already shaping the Council’s path forward to strengthen member value and shape the future of our industry.

Committee Review Task Force Begins Work on Strengthening Engagement and ROI

To ensure ACEC Ohio’s committees and forums are aligned with member needs, the newly formed Committee Review Task Force has launched a comprehensive evaluation of the organization’s current committee and forum structure.

A member survey was sent out in October and results will guide the Task Force as it reviews each committee's purpose, structure, activity level, and value. The Strategic Plan objective is to “strengthen our committees and maximize their value to our members” while ensuring they remain aligned with ACEC Ohio’s strategic goals.

The Task Force has analyzed the survey feedback and is now developing recommendations to be presented to the Board of Directors meeting in December. Recommendations may involve creating new committees, as well as consolidating or restructuring existing ones.

Member Input Needed: Help Shape ACEC Ohio’s 3-Year Advocacy & Legislative Plan

A second initiative is underway to craft a three-year legislative and regulatory advocacy plan that will guide the organization’s work at the Statehouse and within key State agencies. ACEC Ohio is inviting all members to complete the advocacy priorities survey, open now through November 28, 2025. Your insight is important to ensure our advocacy efforts remain strategic, forward-looking, and aligned with current industry needs.  CLICK HERE FOR SURVEY

This survey will help the Advocacy Plan Task Force identify and prioritize the top policy, funding, procurement, business climate, and regulatory challenges impacting firms today. Once survey responses are compiled, the Task Force will draft an advocacy plan for review and input by the Government Affairs Committee, Board of PAC Trustees, and the Board of Directors.

As we move forward with these important initiatives, I want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for your continued membership and engagement. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!

~Beth
