ACEC Ohio Welcomes Jay Muether as Board Chair

Jay Muether is a Vice President for Arcadis. He's served on the ACEC Ohio Board of Directors since 2015, moving into leadership in 2018. Jay has 35 years of experience in highway design, civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture. His design experience includes roadway and highways, street and pavement design, storm drainage, storm detention, BMPs, and construction cost estimating.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscaping Architecture from The Ohio State University. As Vice President of the Transportation Division of Arcadis, he is responsible for all transportation related projects completed by Arcadis in the State of Ohio.  Having developed a strong working relationship with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), city and county officials, Jay keeps abreast of all applicable policies and procedures.

He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Public Words Association since 1992, including serving as Chair in 2001 and as Secretary since 2002. Jay has served on the Ohio Transportation Engineering Conference (OTEC) Program Committee previously and was the Safety & Traffic Subcommittee chair in 2013. He has served the City of Hilliard as their representative on the Big Darby Accord from 2010 to 2015 and currently sits on Hilliard’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
