ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit Highlights

Attendees from ACEC Ohio enjoyed the ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit last week in Washington, DC.  An action packed 3+ days of great speakers, networking, educational sessions and Congressional visits were enjoyed by the participants. 

Some of the group served as “citizen lobbyists” on Capitol Hill meeting with Ohio’s Congressional members and staff to discuss three main issues impacting the business of engineering.

• Growing the Engineering Workforce

ACEC Ohio members met with the following members of Ohio's Congressional delegation (or in some cases with members of their staff): Senator Sherrod Brown;  Representatives Steve Chabot (R-Cincinnati); Bob Gibbs (R-Lakeview); Dave Joyce (R-Russell Twp.); Marcy Kaptur (D-Toledo); Tim Ryan (D-Niles); Steve Stivers (R-Columbus); Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville); Joyce Beatty (D-Columbus); Warren Davidson (R-West Chester); Bill Johnson (R-Marietta); Marcia Fudge (D-Cleveland); Jim Jordan (R-Troy).
