Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s 10th Annual ODOT ACEC Ohio Partnering Conference on May 17, at the Ohio Union. We had 415 attendees including ACEC Ohio members, representatives of the Ohio Department of Transportation and FHWA at the conference, which is designed to improve the partnership between the public and private sectors.
Congratulations to the winners of the ODOT/ACEC Partnering Awards. Four ACEC Ohio member companies received partnering awards at the conference.
·Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. and ODOT District 1 shared the Category 1 Award for the Allen SR 309 Roundabouts Part 1 project the first high-speed roundabout in the area.
·Arcadis and ODOT District 12 won the Category 2 award for the CUY-90-24.10/24.63 project. This project included the reconstruction of two bridges.
·GPD Group and ODOT District 4 shared the Category 3 Award for the SUM-76-5.53 project which was an interstate improvement project to the Akron Beltway.
·The Osborn Engineering Company and ODOT District 12 were awarded the Category 4 award for the CUY-Ashton Lane Bridge project. The Ashton Lane Bridge project was a culvert replacement in a residential area.

Afternoon breakout sessions offered interactive conversations on various topics including:
-Finding the right teaming partner and winning projects with DBE/EDGE Development Goals
-Challenging workload scenarios we face with the IIJA funding and developing strategies for future workplace leaders
-Discussion of ATC’s, VECP’s, and construction claims with examines learned from procurement through construction
-Exploring alternatives to the traditional programmatic process
