Registration OPEN for ACEC Ohio Annual Meeting

June 15, 2017 at the Fawcett Center

 

The mission of ACEC Ohio is to “Promote the business interests of our members and protect our industry.”  We achieve this mission through improving public awareness of the Engineering Industry, member relations and advocacy.  On June 15, 2017, ACEC Ohio’s annual meeting speakers will focus on advocacy.  We are pleased to have two high profile advocates, Steve Hall, Vice President of Government Affairs for ACEC and Curt Steiner, CEO of Steiner PR speaking to the value and impact of advocacy highlighted with personal stories and insights.

Steve HallSteve joined ACEC in 2001, and currently serves as Vice President of Government Affairs.  He is a fourteen-year veteran on Capitol Hill, most recently as Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Congresswoman Sue Kelly (R-NY).  Prior to joining the Kelly office in 1995, Steve served for two years as Senior Legislative Assistant on the staff of Congressman Bill Zeliff (R-NH), where he handled the Congressman's work on the Transportation and Infrastructure and Government Operations Committees.  He also handled transportation and infrastructure issues for Congressman Matthew Rinaldo through congressional consideration and passage of ISTEA in 1991.  He began his Hill career in 1987 as a legislative assistant in the office of Congressman John Hiler (R-IN).

As CEO of Steiner Public Relations, veteran communicator Curt Steiner is well known in business,Curt Steiner  government, media and higher education circles. Steiner leads his high-performance communications and public affairs firm with vast experience in media strategy, press relations, communications, politics, reputation management, lobbying, campaign management, corporate consulting and government policy-making.

Steiner has advised corporate clients on media strategy, marketplace positioning and government relations. He has also served as a key policy and public relations advisor or campaign leader for coalitions promoting passage of statewide ballot issues and otherwise influencing public policy or public opinion.
